Volunteers

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers.  Red Cross volunteers work directly with people, serve on the Board of Directors and provide behind the scene support.

Become a Red Cross volunteer today!  Over a million Americans serve as Red Cross volunteers meeting local community needs.  These needs include:

  • helping people in emergencies
  • providing half the nation's blood supply
  • teaching first aid and CPR courses
  • delivering emergency messages to members of the military
  • and many more

As a volunteer of the Red Cross, you will be provided with the opportunity to utilize your talents, or provide training to help your local community.  For further information see the list of ways you can get involved at your local chapter today.
