The South Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross provides many important emergency services to our community members in crisis. Whether the emergency is limited to one family such as a residential fire or impacts the entire community, the Red Cross is here to comfort the effected and help the healing process begin. Especially relevant at this time are services to families who have a loved one serving in the military. Follow the links below to learn more about our emergency services.
Local Red Cross responds to natural disasters

The following Disaster Action Team Members were deployed this summer to help with the destruction of the incredibly active 2008 Hurricane season. These volunteers assisted victims of these terrible events in a number of different ways such as, working in a call center doing welfare inquiries for those looking for help or looking for family members living in the affected areas, delivering food and cleaning supplies within the affected areas or by working client shelters and/or kitchens to meet the basic needs of individuals displaced from their homes.
